REFUND, CANCELLATION & COURSE POSTPONEMENT POLICY

By completing your registration for any course or program offered by MS Africa Academy and making payment of the full course fee or any installment payment, you acknowledge and agree to the following Refund, Cancellation and Course Postponement Policy.

1. Classroom Course Cancellation & Refunds

1.1 Cancellation Before Course Commencement

You may request to cancel your registration for a classroom course subject to the following conditions:

• A cancellation request must be submitted at least 5 working days before the scheduled course commencement date.
• An administrative fee equivalent to 25% of the total course price will be deducted from the amount paid and will not be refundable.
• The remaining eligible balance may be refunded in accordance with this policy.

1.2 Cancellation Less Than 5 Working Days 

If a cancellation request is made less than 5 working days before the scheduled course commencement date, you will only be eligible for a 50% refund.

1.3 Withdrawal After Classes Have Commenced

Once a student has commenced attendance on a classroom course or program, the following applies:

• No refund will be granted once the student has attended 30% or more of the scheduled classes in the course or program.
• This applies regardless of whether the student paid the course fee in full or through an installment payment plan.
• Once the 30% attendance threshold has been reached, any outstanding installment payments or financial obligations agreed to at registration remain payable.
• Students who withdraw before reaching the 30% attendance threshold may request consideration for a refund, subject to the other terms and conditions of this Refund Policy.

For the purpose of this policy, attendance includes participation in scheduled physical classroom sessions, live interactive online classes, and any other classes that form part of the registered course or program.

2. Course Cancellation by MS Africa Academy

MS Africa Academy reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or postpone a course where:

• The minimum number of delegates required to run the course effectively has not been reached; or
• An unforeseen circumstance prevents the Academy from providing a safe or suitable training environment; or
• Other circumstances beyond the Academy’s reasonable control make it impractical to conduct the course as scheduled.

Where MS Africa Academy cancels a course before it commences, the Academy will, at its discretion and in consultation with affected students, either:

1. Arrange an alternative course date; or
2. Offer a full refund of the course fee paid.

3. Online Courses

Subject to applicable consumer protection laws and regulations, including where applicable the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may have the right to cancel your purchase of an online course within 14 calendar days from the date the contract of purchase is concluded.

However, where you have expressly requested or agreed to receive immediate access to the online course, and MS Africa Academy has issued your login details and provided access to the online learning platform before receiving your cancellation request, the statutory right to cancel may no longer apply where permitted by applicable law.

3.1 Online Course Refund Conditions

If you are eligible for a refund:

• The refund will be processed within 15 working days after approval of the refund request.
• If physical study materials have been sent to you, these materials must be returned to MS Africa Academy before the refund can be processed.
• Please allow up to 2 working days for your online course login details to be issued after successful registration and payment.
• Once an online course has been redeemed, accessed, commenced, or substantially used, a refund will not be granted, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.

4. Course Postponement

4.1 Classroom / In-House Courses

Students who are unable to attend their scheduled classroom course may request to postpone their participation.

• A postponement request must be submitted at least 5 working days before the scheduled course commencement date.
• An approved postponement request made within this period will be processed at no additional cost.
• Requests to postpone a course made less than 5 working days before the scheduled commencement date may not be accepted.

Any approved postponement will be subject to the availability of alternative course dates and spaces.

5. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved under this policy:

• Refunds may take up to 15 working days to process.
• Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method where practicable.
• Any applicable administrative fees, deductions, outstanding obligations, or non-refundable charges permitted under this policy will be deducted before the refund is processed.

6. Important Notice Regarding Course Attendance

By registering for a course or program, you acknowledge that the Academy commits resources to your training, including instructors, classroom facilities, learning materials, administrative support, and other course-related resources.

Therefore, attendance and participation in the course may affect your eligibility for a refund.

In particular:

Once a student has attended 30% or more of the scheduled classes in a course or program, the student is not eligible for a refund if they subsequently withdraw from the program.

This provision applies whether the student paid in full or through an installment payment arrangement.

7. How to Submit a Refund or Cancellation Request

All cancellation, withdrawal, postponement, and refund requests must be submitted in writing to:

Your request should include your full name, registered course/program, date of registration, and the reason for the request where applicable.

MS Africa Academy reserves the right to review each request in accordance with this policy and applicable laws and regulations.
